Diverter claws are used for over wheel lashing on a vehicle transporter. The strap is wrapped directly over the vehicle tyre through a rubber faced wear sleeve to hold it in position. The diverter claw is then secured to the vehicle bed as near to the tyre as possible with the strap passing through it to the ratchet which is tensioned up in a horizontal position.
